The AMD Ryzen 7 5825U gives you ample performance for day-to-day productivity work. Connectivity tech includes HDMI, USB, Ethernet, and Bluetooth.

2022 ASUS VivoBook 15 (15.6”) 

Asus is often an overlooked brand when it comes to the competitive laptop market which is a shame. Especially when you look at the ASUS VivoBook. ASUS has been able to build a great business budget laptop that has many of the things you’d want in a work device.  

This laptop is one of the most affordable on the market at around $650. It has a slim design and is light so if you’re traveling it will make for a good companion. It is powered by the Intel Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with Iris Xe Graphics.

It comes with a 15.6 in Full HD LED touchscreen (1920 x 1080) and a 10-finger multi-touch support display. Ergonomic backlit keyboard with 10 key numeric pad and a fingerprint sensor. You get 12GB and 512GB SSD but you can often upgrade to 20GB|512GB or even 1024GB for about an extra $30-$100. One downside is that the battery life of this device is only about 5 hours so you’ll need to have a power source at some point if you’re working a full 8-hour day.

If you’re looking for a top-performing computer with a lot of features without a high price tag, don’t ignore the ASUS VivoBook.

 

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go – 12.4″

If you’re looking for an ultra-portable laptop for under $1,000, then the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go should be one that you consider. This laptop has a sleek design and comes in 3 attractive colors, platinum, ice blue, and sandstone. The Surface Go has a 12.4” PixelSense touchscreen display and only weighs 2.2 lbs.

For video calls, meetings, and virtual get-togethers, there is a built-in 720p HD camera which works great. You also get about 13 hours of all-day battery life which is much higher than other devices from other brands in this price range. Learning from its mistakes with the previous iterations, Microsoft has made switching from laptop mode to tablet mode easier than ever. Not only that, but the hardware inside this device works well for any type of work, strenuous or not.

Microsoft updated the Surface’s processor from an Intel 10th Generation chip processor to the 11th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processor. 

 

Newest Acer Aspire 5 15.6″ FHD Laptop 

Acer is building a reputation of being a brand that builds devices with powerful specs but with wallet-friendly prices. The newest Acer Aspire is a great example. The IdeaPad 3i laptop houses the powerful 12th generation Intel Core i5 U series processors and Intel Iris Xe graphics card.

This machine gives you a full-function Type-C port, HDMI ports, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, USB 2.0 Type-A, and a memory card reader. Only 8G of memory on this device but it is surprisingly fast. For remote meetings, this IdeaPad also has an HD webcam with privacy shutter.

SAMSUNG 15.6” Galaxy Book2 Pro Laptop (8GB) 

Samsung has made a very capable laptop that is a great work-from-home and travel device. The Galaxy Book2 Pro is the thinnest and lightest Galaxy Book yet weighing in at about 2 lbs. The model that is less than $1,000 comes with 8GB of RAM and 512GB SSD. 

It is powered by the latest 12th Gen Evo-certified Intel processor and has a full HD camera with a 1080p wide-angle view. The laptop includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HDMI, USB, and Ethernet connectivity tech.

 

2022 Apple MacBook Air Laptop with M2 chip

 

Fans of Apple’s laptops may remember that the company discontinued its 11 MacBook Air in 2015. This led many to speculate that Apple was moving away from the MacBook Air in order to focus on the MacBook Pro and iPad devices. Well, 7 years later, the MacBook Air is still here and the 2022 model is back with a vengeance.

We had to include the MacBook Air on this list for the simple fact that this device is awesome for the price. Speaking of price, although the new Macbook is usually priced at around $1,200, you can sometimes find the MacBook Air for less. As of the time of this writing, we found the device on Amazon for $1,150. Although that technically makes the MacBook Air over $1,000, the extra $150 is worth it.

Especially since the new MacBook air has been redesigned. The new Mac is sleeker and lighter than previous models. It has a 13.6” liquid retina which is slightly bigger than the previous 13.3”. It also has an 18-hour battery life which enables you to work without worrying about charging.

But what really makes the MacBook impressive is the new M2 chip which replaces the M1 chip found in previous models. This new chip makes the new MacBook Air incredibly fast. You also get a 1080p Facetime HD camera and a three-mic array for clear audio for clear conference conversations or for listening to music while you work.
