7 Tips to Boost Your Morning Productivity

Mornings can be hard, especially if you are a night owl. It seems like the latest craze includes advice on getting up before the sun and starting your day. Inspired by successful entrepreneurs like Apple CEO Tim Cook and Ellevest CEO and co-founder Sallie Krawcheck, who both wake up at 4 am or earlier each day, you might have been inspired to set your alarm clock earlier and earlier.

The secret to having a productive morning is not necessarily getting up at the crack of dawn. The real trick is to implement simple habits that you can knock out every morning that help to set yourself up for success. Here are a few tips to try to start your day off right.

1. Wake Up With Sunlight

The amount and quality of sleep you get before a big deal is a key to the success of your morning. Sleep helps to increase your learning speed and can improve your cognitive function. Studies have shown that the best way to improve the quality of sleep is to remove artificial light and wake up with sunlight. And once that alarm goes off, make sure not to press snooze. Get up when you were meant to get up.

But most important, remember to wake up at the time that is best for you. Don’t make your body wake up at 5 am if that isn’t what is best for you. It’s important to make sure you get enough sleep and not force yourself out of bed before you are ready to get up. Doing so can lead you quickly to burn out before the day has even started. By making your body do what it is fighting is not the way to create long-lasting habits.

2. Create a morning routine

Your morning routine will be different from everyone else. Creating a morning routine can help anchor your day and it helps you to stay focused on what is truly important. Mastering your morning routine can allow you to achieve a high level of productivity. Your morning routine might include medication, exercise, breakfast, listing a few items of gratitude, or a walk. Figure out what works best for you.

3. Boost your productivity and mood with Smart Coffee

According to a Gallup poll, about two-thirds of all American adults have at least one cup of coffee each day and average about 2.7 cups of coffee per day. There have been multiple studies that show that regular coffee drinking does help improve cognitive function, and those effects can be seen on the long-term as well.

But, not all coffee was made equal. Elevate Smart Coffee takes coffee to the next level; it is a functional beverage that helps to elevate your mood and boosts creativity, motivation, and cognitive function.

4. Eat breakfast

You should never be skipping breakfast if you want to have the energy to tackle the upcoming tasks. You want to be supercharged for a productive day, whether that means eating oatmeal, granola and yogurt, or eggs. In the end it doesn’t matter what you eat as long as it is full of nutrients and not too high in sugar. If you combine it with your cup of Elevate Smart Coffee, it can be the ideal way to keep you full and energized through lunch.

5. Reduce The Number of Decisions

There is a reason why you see top-entrepreneurs like Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, wearing the exact same clothes every time. Can you choose your outfit and prepare your breakfast before you go to bed? If you want to go to the gym in the morning, take the time to get everything you need. Taking care of those little things can get your day started on the right foot.

Another way to free up your morning is to create your to-do list the night before. Don’t overwhelm yourself by putting too many things on the list, but write down three to five things that you want to achieve the next day.

6. Exercise in the morning

Studies have shown that working out in the evening can interfere with your sleep, so try to sweat earlier in the day. Making time to get your workout in early can help eliminate and reduce stress while also unleashing endorphins that can help you feel more productive throughout the day. Taking the time to exercise can also help to clear your mind and help you to focus on the things that truly matter. It can be a time for you to think creatively or find solutions for the tough problems that have been stumping you at work.

If you are doing a workout first thing in the morning, make sure to spend a few minutes on warming up your body. Stretch or begin with a short walk to get your muscles warmed up and reduce the chances of injury. Make sure to plan your workout before you even get to the gym so you can get right into exercising without having to make decisions.

If you are drinking Elevate Smart Coffee, the effects of your workout can go even further. Elevate Smart Coffee helps to burn fat and increase your metabolism. It also can help reduce any sugar or carbohydrate cravings you experience throughout the day. Elevate Smart Coffee combined with exercising also helps to elevate your good mood further and reduces any fatigue by adding to your natural energy.

7. Do the hardest thing first

Since you have already created your to-do list, you already know what the hardest project on your to-do list is. Maybe you have an intensive creative task or a tricky problem you have been trying to solve. Regardless of what is it, try to organize your morning schedule. That way you are working on the hardest or most creative task first thing in the morning.

Waking up doesn’t have to be a drag every morning. Create a routine, pour yourself a hot cup of Elevate Smart Coffee, and start knocking off the most important items on your to-do list to have a productive morning.
