Being strong minded is a great asset when you’re an entrepreneur, but ego can hurt your business. Not being able to change one’s ideas or processes may be what holds many entrepreneurs back.
In this Inc Magazine video, The Profit, Marcus Lemonis explains that the one thing that struggling entrepreneurs have in common is their inability to change. He finds that entrepreneurs that are willing to try new things and willing to listen are the ones that excel the fastest.
That doesn’t mean that a good business owner is one that will agree with everything he says. In fact, Lemonis will sometimes test the entrepreneurs he works with. He will sometimes say something ridiculous in order to see if the entrepreneur will push back. Check out the video to hear his philosophy.
