[Video] The 15 Characteristics of Effective Entrepreneurs

When I was a kid, I could not stop running around.  I’d run around the house, the classroom, and the neighborhood.  Growing up, many thought that I would become a track and field athlete.  The only problem was those guys were fast, and I just had no desire to sit still.  It turns out that my inability to stagnate may mean that I am an entrepreneur for life.

In this short Entrepreneur.com video, you will see 15 characteristics that make an effective entrepreneur.  Some of the characteristics such as “taking action” and being “obsessed with cash flow” are obvious.  But we were kind of caught off guard by Barbara Corcoran’s claim that entrepreneurs are insecure.

1. You take action.

2. You’re insecure.

3. You’re crafty.

4. You’re obsessed With cash flow.

5. You get into hot water.

6. You’re fearless.

7. You can’t sit still.

8. You’re malleable.

9. You enjoy navel gazing.

10. You’re motivated by challenges.

11. You consider yourself an outsider.

12 . You recover quickly.

13. You fulfill needs.

14. You surround yourself with advisors.

15. You work and play hard.
